I think we will most likely be in Ukraine at that time, or at least the eastern part of Romania.

I look forward to Bosnia. Last year, we rode past the bridge in Visegrad where civilians were reported to be killed and thrown off the bridge. Unfortunately we just rode past it, thinking, "oh, what a nice bridge", not knowing the history. And this was only 20 years ago.

Are you planning on any particular sights to see in Bosnia?

Cool, chances are good that we would be in Odessa at that time. From Odessa we're heading towards Crimea, so it sounds like we will be arriving in Lviv a week after you.

I'm from Malmö, so it makes most sense for me to just take the ferry from Rostock to Gedser and then to Malmö.

Hej Ove,

Sounds like you're on a great adventure yourself. We probably won't meet, but I will be going to Esbjerg for the Easter rally. If you're in the area at that time, let me know.

We will be looking out for a white 800GS, for sure :-) have a great trip.

Jesper

Hi fellow Sweeds and everyone else...

We are looking at going the other way around:
Polen - Ukraine - Moldova - rest depends om time...

We'll be in Rivne 29/may-14, Kiev 30-31/may-14 and then heading south...
If our roads cross please don't hesitate to reach out to myself...

This is some things we are planning to see:
Tarakaniv Fortress (Ukraina, Rivne)
N 50° 21.769 E 025° 43.073
Abandoned Tunnel of Love in (Ukraine, Rivne)
50.746389, 26.021667
Prypyat, Ghosttown, Ukrain
51° 24' 20 N, 30° 3' 25 E
Mountain pass, Romania
Bran Castle, Transylvania, Romania

If anyone has any connections or can give advise around:
- visiting Prypyat
- hotels Kiev
I have posted the questions here: "Ukraine / Kiev / Prypyat"

Many thanks / Johan

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
