I´m about to head into northern portugal and then down through portugal and on to Tarifa.

Well kids - being the fast mover that I am, I'm in Belgium now and heading for Holland then Germany then on to Romania. I had a great time in Portugal and Spain, the roads in northern Portugal were fantatstic.

Although I have to say that the Portugese(sp?) have a novel approach to road mending. I came accross one town wher they had just dug up all of the roads in the centre of town and filled it with dolomite (the yellow sandy rubble). Of course there were no signs and its no joke trying to slow from about 80km/h on rubble with a fully laden bike...

If I'd been on a more road oriented bike it would have been impossible to control.
