Overland Expo In Prescott, Arizona

I'm really excited about it.

For those of you unaware: Overland Expo.2009

There's a ton of courses that I'll be taking (Atlas Rider » Post Topic » Overland Expo 2009). I'm hoping it will be informative. Get to meet Lois Pryce (author of Lois on the Loose) too! :)

Anyone going to this?

I was hoping to get there, but things things have conspired against me and I won't be making it now.

I'd be really interested to find out how you got on. Maybe you could post a trip report. Photographs or video would be good.

I'll try to get there on Sunday from Yuma, but doubt it will work out :(

Had a great time there! Will be posting photos, videos, and reports later this week.

I agree, it was lots of fun, well done, and appeared to be well attended. The Overland Journal deserves a lot of credit for the extra effort to host the event. I hope that they go for it again and tons more attend. Europe gets a number of these style gatherings, we do not. It was great to see Unimogs, Cats, Puchs etc. plus all the other vendors. Need more Adventure Moto vendors and Speakers, though the ones we attended were great and enjoyable.
Highly recommend it.
Allen.

PS maybe tie in HU events, Explor, Hyde events, etc. It has the potential to be really big!

I totally agree on the need for more adventure moto vendors. The event focused on 4-wheelers more so. I almost felt claustrophobic at the campsite. I was pitching my one person tent along side my Ninja in the middle of a sea of Sportsmobiles. I kinda felt out of place, but once I found some other riders I felt at home.

And a highlight of the event was seeing you run the trail course on that Ninja, Bill! Tom Collins loved it.

It's important to note that Overland Journal was just one of five title sponsors, including Equipt Expedition Outfitters, Adventure Trailers, Expedition Exchange, and Sportsmobile.

The faith that a whole bunch of sponsors and exhibitors put into the Overland Expo was inspiring, and I believe well-rewarded. The response was overwhelmingly positive from manufacturers, vendors, and participants.
