Hi, have briefly read your blog.
I assume you have no Ethiopian visa, so I suggest you check out on the HUBB here, numerous threads about Ethiopian visas.

The universal conclusion now is that you have to courier your passport back to your home country, have the visa arranged for you there and passport couriered back to you.

If you are on a S. African passport this may be handy:
I was in Jungle Junction May last year, everyone couriering their passports home to get Ethiopian visas. One S. African rider went to S. African embassy in Nairobi for advice, and found that the S. African consulate was a friend of the Ethiopian consulate. He wrote a letter of introduction for the rider, who took it to the Ethiopian embassy and managed to get a visa. Only report I've heard of a non-Kenyan getting a visa there.
