New York to Ushuaia May 2003
 

Hey all,
Im travelling to the US next week, buying a KTM640spending about a month setting it up and heading off.
I dont really have any time frame or schedule. I've travelled enough to know that even the best plans can change with meeting people who have come from the direction you are heading (and the cute Swedish backpackers met along the way).
So the plan is to nat have a detailed plan.
I am thinking of heading south to Tennessee then picking up the Trans American Trail to Oregon then back down through ...wherever, Great Western Trail? anyway ......South.
So if there is anyone else out there who is as unorganised as myself , I am eager to hear from you.

Hey Nesty, I am planning on leaving North Carolina around may and heading in the general direction of the pacific. I was thinking that I would like if possible to get to Moab Utah for the KLR Rally on the 29th. May or may not make it, but my general plan is Alaska, BC, Yukon and NWT.
I have also toyed with the idea of heading south after I get my fix of the mighty north. In any event our plans both seem to be in a similar state of diserray. If you are interested I would really enjoy some company.

Hi Nesty,
I'm riding from Alaska to Tierra Del Fuego starting in Alaska in May. Heading south through Canada, down the west coast, east around the southern states and into mexico probably around August/September. Aiming for TDF for Xmas.
I'm riding a white XT225.

I have similar plans although will not be leaving until around may/jun.
Was just interested if you have bought your bike yet and how you plan to do that.
I also plan to buy a bike in the US (or Canada). I actually also thought of that KTM model.

we are hoping to collect our ktm after n.z. around mid june in san francisco and heading south to ushiuia for the end of the year.meet you along the way for a pint perhaps.
