Need maps of Mongolia

Anybody in the USA have maps of Siberia and or Mongolia to sell, lend, pass on or a recommendation on where to get them and what to get. I am in Wisconsin, USA.
Thanks,
Bill.

Maps

If you need a map for traveling through Siberia I recommend the “Atlas Automobilnje” (In Russian: ATЛАЅ ABTOMOЪИЛЪНЫЕ). Very accurate, including gasstations. The Atlas is generally available in bookshops in Russian cities. I used that map in 2004 and bought in Novosibirsk. For Mongolia you can buy any map in UlaanBataar. There are only two paved roads, so you don’t really need a map. If you want to travel off road you need compass or GPS.

Have a good trip,

I bought an excellent Mongolia road map at the tourist information office in Ulan Bator. (Cant remember the list, I gave it away in Russia). I’m not sure if it available outside Mongolia. It was pretty accurate as Mongolia goes. Tell you distances ant what towns have gas avaiable.

I bought a road map of Mongolia at a map store in the US. This proved unless, to bordering on dangerous.

A bit of advice, don’t trust your GPS road coordinates. Sometime they don’t jive with the map. And remember, thing are changing rapidly in Mongolia. There was quite a bit of road construction going on in the county. My advice is to go now before things change too much. I feel I was lucky to have done it in 05’; I’m sure thing different now.
