Motorcycle Adventure from Argentina to Colombia - May 2009

Fellow adventure riders!

I'm looking for some people to bike with through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Columbia + possible Central America. Im in the process of buying a bike at the moment in Buenos Aires and hope to leave by the start of May.

The idea is to cross Argentina heading towards the Andes then travelling up into Chile and Bolivia and beyond. I am not in any particular hurry once i'm on the road. Only to enjoy the experience, get plenty of practice speaking Spanish and get lost on some great roads.

Ill be riding a kitted out DR650 and will have camping gear. If anyone is interested in meeting up to ride together for part of the trip, post a reply here.

All the best
Owen

Hi Matt,

I have just bought a DR650 in Buenos Aires for the trip. The plan is to head up to Tucuman in the next few days and then make a plan for a route up to Columbia as well. If you are interested Ill be riding with another Australian guy. Your welcome to get in contact with me if you want to ride with us for a while. My email is ojbawden@gmail.com

Regards

I am planning m/l the same trip but will not start until late September. Would be good to follow your trip to get ideas on route to take and problems I might encounter. Are you going to post a Blog on HU or else where.

Bob

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
