Leaving soon: Japan to UK

Hello to all those who've got wheels on the road right now.

Finally, I shall be joining the ranks shortly with another australian as we take ourselves (and bikes) on ferry to Russia (vladivostok) probably on the 5th of July. Then we will follow the transiberian to Lake Baikal and into Mongolia from about the 25th of July. We will be in Mongolia for about a month. Then we shall curve back into Russia until Europe.

If anyone is in the area it would be great to catch up.

Viktor

Only too happy to give more info but not sure where I should put it. But it's going to be Nathan and I (Viktor). Nathan will be riding a 250cc - probably a Honda Baja or a Suzuki Djebel and I'm on a DR-Z400. It'll should be an interesting road-test for both these bikes.

I'll be sure to keep you all informed on route.

Not only has your choice of route & direction perked up my interest, but the choice of bikes, Baja or Djebel, and DRZ400, have been high on my list of bikes choices for my intended RTW trip.

I'll be following the reports of your trip planning, paperwork pertaining to bike purchase in Japan, how you overcome red tape in China, etc, very keenly indeed.

G'day Miles,

Yep, I'm afraid we're already on our way - in fact we just hit Moscow today. When I get a chance I'll write a bit of a summary on this website of the trip so far. Feel free to contact me directly as well via my email.

Cheers
Viktor

Vincent,

I've been trying, and I've been trying, but I just can't seem to work out how to mail you on your website. I'm at a bit of a loss when it comes to computers. Perhaps you should mail me directly to viktorlewis@hotmail.com

Cheers
Viktor

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
