Morocco Off-road this Xmas?

Looking to catch ferry from SW England and spend 10 days or so using tracks and 'pistes' south of the Atlas Mountains. I've got an XT600E, but an off road 'virgin' really.Call or e-mail.

Over christmas would be a good time for me, I am a tool of the government so get forced holidays over the xmas period.

Hi paul,

I was thinking about doing a Morocco trip over the x-mass period as well. It's a good way to break up the winter. Haven't really got too far into the planning stages yet tho. I've never been down that way before, so might be nice to have some company on the road.

Tully.

Zmeagol no more, I've changed my username.

Morocco is cold in the winter, especially at altitude, and even more so if there's no sun (and at night, early morning). You really need VERY WARM kit or a heated jacket. The temperature often improves south of the Atlas Mountains but there's no guarantees.

*Some* of the pistes are fairly easy if the weather is good. If the weather is at all dubious I would stay on tarmac, the roads are excellent and great fun. Some links to my recent trips

I am with Tim on this one

I spent the winter in Morocco a couple of years ago in a landy.
it is wet and cold, not the sunny place you may expect. ice and rain in the sand dunes and everything! that said it is a great country
