Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Berkina Faso, Togo

Hi All

Leaving Morocco over the next few days on the above route. Would be nice to have some company even if just for part of the way.
Have to be in Togo first week of August but otherwise flexible on timing and route

Cheers

Too bad Desert Ways. Just arrived in Dakhla today. Long, boring, windy road to get here. When you come down thhis way, don't pack your passport too deep. As soon as you enter Western Sahara you get checked at every control point, and when they ask you 'what is your job' pick something that they can understand or that you know how to say it in French....I think I became a banker at some point today.

By the way, it's not hot down here at all. At one point today I was close to putting on another layer.

Haha, that brought back memories. I have done this route twice. The last time I did it, I told everyone I met at check points that I was a British Police Superintendant. This had them saluting me on my way everytime.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
