Heading south from BsAs

Hi,
Next week my bike is due to arrive here in BsAs and I will head to cooler temps in the south. Have a rough list of places to see enroute to Ushuaia and then will turn north and follow Rta 40 north. Side trips as they come up.
The grand plan moving north is to visit a sister in Ecuador, with stops along the way, travel through Central America, buzz through Mexico and land in Houstan where I have siblings. Then it is to a family visit in Minnesota (Aprilish/Mayish) then head home to Alaska.
Wave if you see a black KLR/red Arrowstich/silver brain bucket, or if you are interested in riding a day or two together give a shout: otternorth@hotmail.com
Happy Trails
Paul

I am from Anchorage we should get together this summer.

To transport the bike down from Ak I used FED EX. Not alot of choises but at least the operator know where AK was.
There is alot to learn about international shipping-exporting from the US- and the nice FED EX ladies do not know enough. I now know more than the local gals.
It is very doable but know what needs to be done prior to doing it.The people on the other end of the line do not always know what is going on...and you need to trust it is done correctly the first time.
I am using a broker here in BsAs-Sandara with Dakar motos. They have a web site and she will answer questions. Very helpful and very nice lady.

When are you headed down?

I will check back in here from time to time as I travel.

Just has a nice chat with Jeff...good info of what to expect and see. Too bad they are so far out of the city...or I am in the city...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
