Mexico-Central America in Jan/02

I'm leaving for Mexico, Cental America, and perhaps S. America in early Jan. I'd love to connect with anyone interested - either in person or stay in touch with email. I'm riding a y2 KLR650 with Givi luggage and happy trails racks. I'm beginning a 2 year sabbatical in Jan.

Might be able to rendezvous somewhere. I'm planning on leaving Houston, Big Bend, El Paso, Los Angeles, then Baja, Mexico, Belize. Hope to have a KLR aswell. How do you find the Happy Trails racks - do you have the NW or SU ones? How is the KLR seat - how many miles can you do before you have to get off for a rest?

I'm planning my second trip to the Copper Canyon region for this December/January. I've been once before. If interested, let me know and I'd be glad to pass on some info about this area. Some amazing riding as well as sights to see here. Probably the best in northern Mexico as far as I know.

Sig,

I am planning on leaving Chicago in early January 2002 for Mexico and Central America. I will be riding a heavy 2000 Honda Cruiser (Sabre). I intend to spend some time visiting the Mayan ruins in Mexico, Guatamala and Hondurus. I will take about 45 days for the trip to Panama City. Will fly back and ship the bike back to Chicago.

Please let me know if this outline coincides with yours.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
