meet up in timbucto
 

any one interested in meeting up in timbucto around the second week of january for a few beers will be leaving the the uk 2nd week of oct.driving a grey 110 defender .leaving the bike at home this time tim shaw

I am leaving about the same time - mid oct and will probably see you on the road.Travelling on a white Ktm 640 heading down the west coast then east then south. I could be in timbucto in january -ish.

Hey Tim;
Not sure about Timbuctu, but we're leaving France for the transaf via the Atlantic route also starting mid Oct. We'll be in an Iveco Daily 4x4 so travelling slowly. Maybe our paths will cross, during the visa wait at Casa/Rabat?
Gazza, you'd get bored waiting for us, but if we meet near the beach section in Mori, I'd be happy to carry extra petrol in return for someone scouting for hard ground (5 tonnes of camper is a bastard to get unstuck)
We'll talk more about routes closer to departure time.

Hi there, We are hoping to be around Timbuktu in January time, blue and yellow Tenere. We.ve read about a festival taking place about 50 km away in Jan.A tuareg festival thats been going for about 3 years now ( Robert Plant was there last year!!!). Hope to find out more info when we're in the area

Hi Fellow trans Africa treckers,There are quite a nimber of us going around this time , both on bikes and 4 wheels.
Maybe we should all get together a month before the depeture date and have a few beers and chat etc.
