In Luanda, ANGOLA and looking to hook up...

Hi All

Sorry to post this here again, just hoping I can get quick responses:

Would love to hook up with any riders in Luanda.

Anyone seen or heard from Linzi?

Cannot PM or email her.

Any recommendations on where to stay?

I have only heard of "The Yacht Club" - but it seems it is far out of town...

My bike and gear is currently parked in front of the Residence of the South African Ambassador - and the flies are all over it (I do have the horns from a bull on my front mudguard - and they are over a week old from Sesfontein, Namibia!)

I can be contacted on +264 855 666 080

Any visa information particularly for the francophone countries using the French embassy here in Luanda or in Kinshasa, as well as security info regarding DRC and CAR would also be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dave,

Not sure if you're able to get to a cyber cafe, I've emailed you a couple of times. I can't get through on the phone number you've supplied though.

Linzi, my wife, is out and about in Luanda today.. she visited Club Nautico this morning but saw no evidence of bikes or tents. However, there are roadworks right near the Club, the main road is closed and it could be difficult to find without local knowledge.

Give me a call (phone number emailed) if you can and let us know where you are.

I'll be leaving work shortly after 15:30 and will head down to the Yacht Club (Club Nautico) for a few drinks, should be there before 16:00.

Hopefully see you soon,
Dan
