Hi, Myself and a friend are travelling from London to Capetown down the East coast of Africa from Sept10 to Dec10 and could do with some company. We are on a Yamaha Tenere and Honda Transalp. Are you still looking for people to ride with?

Hi Lou,

Was just reading this thread and thought I would mention I have ridden the Route Napolean from Annecy down to Cannes, and it is nice. I have also ridden through Switzerland twice, and not wishing to say one is better than the other, but if I had to pick just one (and perhaps it will be better for your routing) I would head through Switzerland, the roads up and down the passes are great and so is the scenery, as well, you could touch down into Northern Italy to the Lake District (bit more traffic right on the lake roads) and then head East and touch some great passes like Stelvio to mention one.

Just a thought. Have a great ride and trip!

Ian

Hi there,

I'm riding from the UK out to Slovenia, then Hungary, Romania, Ukraine up to Scandinavia and back around.

I'll be leaving the end of June so should be around Slovenia at the start of July, is there any chance you'd be around for some of that and want to join in?

Cheers

Ioan

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
