Lake Turkana route - heading north
Hi,
Is anyone looking to travel up to Ethiopia via Lake Turkana around the last week of June? We are a UK couple in a Land Rover and hoping to meet up with another 4x4 to make the trip. Cheers Itchyfeet

Lake Turkana
Hi Itchyfeet. I'm looking at doing the Kenya to Ethiopia trip via Turkana next summer. So I was wondering if you did it last year and if so how you got on? It sounds amazing from what I've read. If your post had been about hooking up to do that trip in 2013 I would have been right on it!

Hi John,
Yes we did it and it was fine. It took 4 days and was generally much easier than we'd been expecting. If you pm me your email address I'll send you some info I put together for someone who followed shortly after us. I also have (if I can find it) a track you can follow on the GPS. It was a great help keeping us on track in Sibiloy and on through Illeret and beyond where there were a lot of tracks in the sand and the way wasn't always clear. Itchy
