kenya to ethiopia after Christmas

My son and I will arrive in Nairobi about Dec. 22 and considering heading up to Addis about a week later. Anyone else around who wants to go up with us, especially the Marsabit to Moyale part?
Anybody have current info on the road and security situation? I heard the rains turned the road into absolute s... a while back.

Cheers

Nairobi to Ethiopia, or the other way too

Hi Loraine, I am currently in Mombasa for a few days post-Christmas but then headed back to Nairobi for a few weeks. Looking at going up to Ethiopia a little later now like late January. Anyone coming or going these days what with the Sudan thing and the usual helter skelter on the Hell Road?

Cheers,
Larry

Maybe I'll see you in Nairobi? I'm in an out of Karen Camp, getting a visa for India. Might be interested in a short side trip?

We'll be right around the corner from each other! They have a pub at Karen Club or we can meet at Purdy Arms which is right around the corner!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
