Hi Andrew

Hope you're going along OK, I'm sure flying solo can be tough at times. I'm just about to set off on my ride to the UK so it'll be a while before we may meet. But these friends of mine have just stepped over the border from Iran into Pakistan, currently in Quetta. 2 Live the Dream | Heike & Filippo Travel the World on Motorcycle They are lovely people and would be happy to meet you I'm sure. Give them a hoi through their website, they'll get in touch for sure.

Best wishes, Dave.

Hi guys,

Writing to you from Agra, India.... I went the most direct route possible (more or less) from UK to India... Going through France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India.... The specific routes through their are really upto but are very accesible (Pakistan exception.... and a few potential complications in Iran, as in a few more politically sensitive areas were overlanders have been hassled by cops.)

The route for Pakistan is nearly completley dictated to you at the moment.... Apparetly Taftan border IS open... The route dicated to me was Taftan Border (I stayed in Zahedan, crossed and stayed in Dalbandin), Quetta, Sukkur, Bahwalpur, Multan, Lahore....

Cant tell you about the stans/north pak, as i didnt go that route......
Any specific questions id be happy to give my experiences

Cheers

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
