Jan 09: Buenos Aires -> TDF -> spine of Andes to Santiago

I am heading back down to ride the southern cone of Argentina and Chile in January/February 2009.
Planning on riding from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia and then meandering up the spine of the Andes as far as northern Chile with an emphasis on adventure riding.
Rode '07 DL650 (v-strom) from California to Buenos Aires solo earlier this year - ran out of time to finish the trip properly... I keep the bike in BA.
No firm departure dates so if you're planning on being in BA in January (or TDF in Feb) and want to consider this ride send a note.
Salud,

Depends how long you will take

QueNoEs,

I will be doing 5k km within Peru June-Aug with a bunch of friends sticking to gravel and dirt. When you know your itinerary, and if you might be in Peru those dates, drop me a lina and we could meet up.

Dakar 2009

Hi QueNoEs,

I'll arrive in Santiago on November 25th and my bike should follow me (from Singapore) approx 10 days later. All being well I'll get to the Horizons meeting in December after which I'll be hanging around to watch the Dakar in as many places as possible before heading down to Ushuia and back up. If that's of any interest to you let me know.

I'm 2.5 years into my RTW trip on a F650.

Adam

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
