Crazy, make sure you get fuel before entering the mountains in Bulgaria if heading for Turkish border. There is only 1 petrol station on the route which closes at 18.30. Bulgarian roads to border aren't great but when you clear the border .... when you see the Turkish roads --- BIG GRINS
At turkish border you will need to buy entry visa and green card insurance at the border post. You can't get clearance without them.
Enjoy ....

touring ME, currently in Zahle, Lebanon

Hi folks, I'm currently in Zahle (close to Baalbek) in Lebanon. Anyone going to Syria and Jordan? Does anyone have camping GPS-POIs from this region? Hotels are quite expensive around here.

Currently in Albania, going towards Lake Ohrid tomorrow. Will arrive in Turkey
end of next week. Albania is just too beautiful and worth to spend more time.
Friendly people, nice weather, dusty roads

Hi Camel

We're in Kavala, Greece now. I tried to contact you but due to not having enough posts I couldn't send a PM. I sent an SMS but apparently you are not using your Turkish SIM anymore.

We're heading for Turkey tomorrow. Probably will spend a couple of days in Istanbul and after that off to Cappadocia it is. And then to Syria and Jordan. But we haven't made any fixed plans on the schedule.

If anyone's on our route, feel free to contact. My phone number is +358505817695.

Jami

Great to meet you on the road today Tom. I'm back on line and on my way to Antalya tomorrow.

Safe riding and I'll keep up to date with your blog.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
