India - Turkey/Europe in mid 2008. Anyone interested?
 

Hi,

We're planning on traveling around India and then going overland into Pakistan and Iran and then into Turkey before making our way into Europe.

Is anyone thinking about doing anything similar? Interested in coming along?

We will have done Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia by this stage...

We may meet up along the way - Mick and Colleen Tharme (from Oz) and I are leaving UK on 6th May and although the route isn't finalised, are heading down to Almaty - probably through Eastern Europe, Ukraine, Russia and into Kazakhstan. The rest of the trip is still up in the air but I may come back through The Stans, Azerbaijan and Georgia. This would put me in Turkey about July.

I will be glad to host and/or accompany you while you are around izmir or in west Anatolia, Turkey. The last visitor was Mountain Man from HU and I know that he is missing Izmir and peninsula since the day he left for Africa. I had guaranteed that I could find a similar experience in Turkey to whatever he is going after in Africa.

Just a note. Midyears are extremely hot especially in the west Turkey.

along the way from nepal to europe
 

Dear overland wanderers,

I've got some "wanderlust" my self and will be starting a journey at the end of apirl (after the elections in Nepal on the 10th April) to Germany, via Pakistan, India, turkey...Berlin. So pretty much the same way.

So if you are around at that time, drop me a mail and we meet up to do some of the journey together.

Mid July to Europe
 

Hi All,
New to the the board and mostly to biking, but I have a fierce travel bug that I cant seem to cure. I am originally from the US and living in Delhi. My goal is to buy an Enfield and ride it Europe before flying back to the US in mid July. Looking for anyone who may want to leave the India, Pakistan, Nepal area around early May. I would open open to alternative iteneraries as well. Look forward to hearing from you all.
