India to Iran and beyond from the end of Feburary

Im in a bind I think. I think this is possible weather wise. Any input welcome. But Its going to be cold. I dont want the hassle of visa extension and Indian import extension on Carnet. So I will be leaving India late Feb when my visa runs out solo on a DR 650 after hopefully snowboard for a month in Gulmarg Jammu(epic heli boarding too) heading through Pakistan if its safe at that time ofcourse. Someone must be keen ? fly a bike to Kathmandhu and come snowboarding then ride back to Europe go on you know you want to

Doubt if you are even allowed to cross via Pakistan from India.

Hi there,
Sorry for not reverting back.
HUBB has a strange issue of not notifying via emails.
I have faced this over numerous threads. Inspite of subscribing, i do not even get notified when anyone replies to a post / thread.

So no offense about not replying back.
I ran into this post by chance again.

It's great you are able to cross overland from India to Pakistan.
I wonder if its allowed only for foreigners (non-Indians) only?
Have heard that it is restricted for Indians to Overland into Pakistan.

Many overlanders have made it it to Europe Via Pakistan/Iran/Turkey way up to central Europe .

In Quetta, There are many hotels where overlanders stay and continue their journeys by road next morning.

Pls let me know if you guys are planing to undertake this trip this year 2015 , then i am with you guys too.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
