HU UK Travellers Meeting

Hello, first post but been reading the forum for ages.
So i've decided to bite the bullet and attend this years UK meet June 21st-24th and was wondering if anybody else was heading down there too.
I'm based in Dundee and would be probably bimbling down early morning on the 21st so it'd be great if i could tag along with anyone else who's planning the same.
Suppose a brief introduction would help along with this.
Here goes:
Andrew Warren a 28 yr old student Nurse. Limited travel experience on bikes but been around a bit, so to speak. Currently ride a nail of a Bandit 12 which i've had for 8 yrs now, love dearly and will never part with. As like most people who frequent this forum i've terminally itchy feet and am looking forward to testing me camping gear.

Anybody interested let me know.
Cheers
Andrew

Having just reread the previous post i'm aware it looks like a dodgy back of paper, ahem, "personal"

It's not!:oops2:

What day are you going? I'm leaving from Lincoln too (Digby) but won't be in the UK till Friday so probably going over Saturday morning. Hoping to make it for a Saturday ride-out. :)

An Old Fogie Regrets

:( I wish I could be there. However I leave home (Colwall, Herefordshire) at the end of May to retrieve my Honda 125 in Ushuaia and ride the northen leg of my Americas safari: Mexico - Tierra del Fuego - upState New York (Blog at www.simongandolfi.com). Late June I should be in Chile where the wine is excellent. I will think of you all and drink a small glass to you (or as many glasses as my pension permits). So, should I crash, you, rather than my age and decrepitude will be responsible!! Good luck and good riding to you all - particularly to fellow mature bikers in late middle age (or is 74 beyond middle age?).

Veteran?

Stephano, you describe yourself as veteran. The description makes me nervous. How old is veteran? Does a biker remain a veteran from that age onward? Or is there a further bracket? Take care and good luck...

Simon
I'm a veteran Arsenal supporter but that's about it. I hope that doesn't make anyone nervous. :)

The term 'newbie' or 'veteran' or whatever is outside my control. I presume it is generated by the vBulletin forum software based on either the 'join date' or number of 'posts'. As for further brackets... we could have some fun making some up and submitting them to Grant.

Your trip sounds great. Have fun.

Numb Butt

Stephano, The mismatch in size of bike seat and size of my seat are the only ongoing problem. Numb butt is standard. The rest is mostly good, sometimes great and occasionly totally awful! Take care, simon

There's 2 of us heading down from Falkirk. We're planning on going on the Thursday though. If you see an overladen Tiger and an underladen Bandit, that'll be us.
