group for Panama to Columbia container

Just throwing the idea out there...

There seem to be a few of us going down this year. Maybe if a few of us meet in Panama (or before) we could arrange a nice little inexpensive 20 footer to transport our steeds across the Darien.

I know dates would be hard to coordinates but maybe it's worth discussing...

Subscribed just to see where this goes. Coordinating dates would be the biggest stumbling block, me thinks.

Exactly but I guess if a few are getting close approximatly in the same period a little planning could make it so that they could arrive in the same 3-4 days window. Surely throwing a date prior to departure might be unrealistic but calling one as you get closer might be doable. I guess...

In my case I'll be leaving Montreal on the 17th of October. I plan to go rapidly through the US and straight down the east coast of Mexico as I want to reach TDF by april. I guess I would be in Panama late november or somewhere in december.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events (22 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
