going to mexico for northern california 12-18-04
 

heres the plan "dont really have one " i call it wondering around on a moto bike lookin for kool places to hang out ...and nice sites to take in ( recommendations ? please ...books ??? roads.. routes ..,places to avoid ?? advice... ).. my philosophy is might stay at a place for 5 minutes or a couple of days ..???who knows... i do like to stop and smell the roses ...
leaving northern california (SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA) on december 18 (or 19 or ...??) headin south to baja .. then eventually on the ferry to mainland ... i know i would just like to make it to copper canyon ....on this trip ... others have expressed other towns sites and places they would like to get to .. (open for ...ideas)
any one up for this adventure ..i got a month to tour so i gotta get back to work on the 20 th of january ... if you have more time you should keep going (terra delfuego oh! yeah ...) or if your already on a tour and want to hook up for this section lets do it man... hotels hostels camping ..i dont care as long as the federalies arent involved ... LETS GO AND HAVE SOME FUN !!!!
AND IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU SPOKE SOME GOOD SPANISH

Your purposed route is what I am planning to do Jan 05, only I was thinking about reaching the Yucatan and spending a day or 2 in Guadalajara to visit a friend.

I seem to be having a hard time finding company to do this trip so your offer sounds tempting indeed. I need to find out if I can get the time off in Dec though. It also means I need to prep by FZ1 earlier than expected.

How are the chances of you getting Jan - Feb off?

I planned on being back to work on Jan 10th but if you twisted my arm I could probably stretch it out to the 17th. I planned on staying mainly in Baja. Do you know how much it costs to catch the ferry to the mainland? If that's what you still had in mind.

i think the ferry is 150 buck usd .. i think ...c'mon man lets get on the bikes and get outa here...

Hey, anyone interested in a 15 day run to baja? I just had an abrupt change of holiday plans and decided to get out of San Francisco for little while. Here's the catch - I gotta get back to work by Jan 3rd. I plan to start the ride back north on New Years day. Anybody?

I plan to be in Cabo on the 30th. I don't have to be back to work until Jan. 10th though so I plan on riding around for awhile.
