Germany to New Zealand - Oct 2001

As we all know Kiwi's can't fly so this one has decided to ride home on a Dommie over 6 months plus. My plannings poor but I have a bike, compass and sleeping bag and if on an eastward track what can go wrong?! This is the time of year to go apparently so any who are contemplating a similair trip (or partial) let me know and maybe we can hook up on the road.
Remember to keep that happy balance between vertical and horizontal in all 'walks' of life.

Hi Graeme,

I'm a Kiwi also living in Germany, and I also thought about riding home, although currently I've set my sites on the Pan American. One of the reasons I not riding directly home is that I'm trying to get some taxes back by applying to live in another country - have you considered that ? According to my calculations it could well finance my whole trip!

Gidday Jeremy,

Ah tax - something Governments want yes? I've a little circumvention scheme going on there already. Which part of Germany are you? I am Frankfurt with a '99 Dommie. Maybe we can hook up sometime. I've just booked a tkt for the German G.P 22/7/01 if you're interested in attending that.
As much as I'd like to take S.A in the Eastern route is fairly firmly set with the planning.

Cheers. Graeme

Hi Graeme,

Send me your e-mail address or contact telephone number via the e-mail button on the bulletin board.

Unfortunately I can't do the GP this weekend, but it might be an idea to have a beer before you take off. I'd love to hear about your 'circumvention' tactics as well.

Cheers

Jeremy

Hi Graeme
we are leaving U.K. Sept. 9th for Nepal riding Dominators. Tim is returning to the U.K. and I intend to continue to Thailand ---O.Z. Perhaps we can meet up?

Gidday Richard,

I'm having trouble with this thing. I am leaving Frankfurt 2 Oct down to Italy for a week then across to Croatia, Macedonia, Greece, 3/4 weeks crossing Turkey, quickly through Iran / Pakistan (but doing the KKH)before spending a few months in India. Let me know if our paths will cross at some stage. I'm graemehills@yahoo.co.uk. Cheers.
