Europe Trip Change of plans and Still looking for partners
 

Hi Im a 27 year old Aussie living in the Uk i have a Suzuki DL1000 Vstrom and im travelling through eastern Europe from 14th July to around the 7th of August. I plan to ride to Poland and then down through Hungary and Serbia to Greece. Catch the Ferry to Italy and Ride up the coast to Slovenia then through Germany home.

i managed to get away over the easter break and drive from krakow to poprad in slovakia. I used google earth to figure driving distances and also time to get there. I found that google earth takes no account of road condition and the 2 hour trip outlined by google earth took me five hours of solid driving on rough roads (marked as highways on google earth).

Via michelin is no better, it had me averaging 70mph through towns joined by 60mph limit roads.

Well yeah i dont think an A road is the same acorss Europe. Poland is undergoing massive road works so i imagine in about five years time itll be great to get around. At the moment its a bit of a nightmare
