Europe Tour 2013
 

Hi All,

I am off to Europe starting August 11th 2013 from the UK, and thought I would see if anyone was interested.

I like longish days (300 miles or more), more on the bike than off.

The outbound route will be Plymouth harbour to Santander, Spain leaving on Sunday August 11th at 15:45 for arrival Monday 12th at 12:15.

I have then booked the Euro Tunnel for Sunday 25th of August at 11:00 from Calais to Folkestone.

I have planned to go camping / wild camping and head from Santander through the Pyrenees, Southern France north through the French Alps, then work east into the Swiss / Italian Alps to take on those famous passes then maybe up through Austria into Czech and back through Germany for Calais.

That would calculate to about 2,500 miles which isn't a lot of the two weeks, but nothing is set in stone, uncapped days for riding, no destination, rock up and camp where suits at a site or in the bushes!
