Europe to Magadan via the Stans/Mongolia and back 2012

Hello everybody,
I plan to make a longer trip next year, mainly to go from Bucharest to Vladivostok via the Stans and Mongolia. Then fly/ship to Magadan and come back via Yakutsk, Lensk, Myrni, Irkutsk, Transiberian Highway to Ukraine and back home to Romania. I will ride a Honda Transalp.
I’m looking for anyone planning a similar trip, and want to share information and ride together at least parts of the road.

Here is my plan:
Departure from Romania: end of april 2012
Turkey – Georgia – Armenia – Georgia – Azerbaijan
Entering Turmenistan from Azerbaijan by ferry: mid may 2012
The Stans – 4 to 5 weeks
Entering Mongolia from Russia: end of june 2012
Vladivostok – end of July (there are rumors of o big bikers party in the end of July )
Magadan: beginning of August 2012
Road of Bones maybe Old Summer Road
Yakutsk – mid August 2012
Irkutsk – beginning of September 2012
In beginning of September coming back home from Russia via Transiberia, Volvograd – Kiev – Cernauti – Bucharest.

If I find a riding partner I want to ride the Old Summer Road in the Road of Bones in August from Magadan to Yakutsk.
Also if I’m ahead of time, I would like from Ust Kut to take the western BAM to Tynda and return to Irkutsk on the Transiberian. That depends on too many things, its just a thought.
Anyone planning something similar for next year, send a message.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
