Europe Loop: UK, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe to Turkey, West

My wife and I will be starting in London in early June, and riding a big circle route generally from the UK to Scandinavia, Germany to Poland, then south to Turkey, then east along the Mediterranean, then to Morocco and possibly further south. No big deal, but we want to do this as much off road as possible. (Dirt riders from California, we don't feel comfortable not sliding.) Anyone have any hints on good dirt riding or want to come along for a while? We'll be on an Adventure and a TTR250. fun fun.

Hi, me and the missus are setting off from UK in early June and heading for South Africa via Nord Kapp, hoping to be there for the longest day, June 21st, mid night sun and all that, maybe see you there. Chris

Hi, all. On behalf of Norwegians on the HUBB I'd like to wish you all a very warm welcome to Norway. Beware of occasional snow storms in the far north in June and sheep and elks strolling along the road.

As a member of the Offroad Touring Club Norway, I have some ideas of routes that might suit your need for off-roads. If you let me know where you intend to go while in Norway, maybe I can be to some help? If you should experience any problems while in Norway, do not hesitate to contact our small but service-willingly local HU Community.

Best regards, and safe journey

Indu

Charlie:

If you smoke or drink, buy all you need of both before you enter Norway. Taxes there are beyond belief on those two items. Otherwise, it's a wonderful country.
