Hi Matt;
I'll be in Krackow on 23rd and 24th, then heading into Slovakia to meet a mate at a rally on 25th and 26th (Tanec Slnka - Cruiser Moto Club Indians). If you want to meet up that would be good.

hi

Gday mate. My helmet is also Matt BLack

I'm from the sunshine coast, QLD. Also working in UK, on the Isle of Wight. Tomorrow is my last day of work then 10th July catch a ferry to Denmark and spend the next 4 months riding around Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Up Sweden and Norway, down Finland, St Petersburg, Baltics, Eastern Europe to Balkans then home. I won't be out of russia by the time you get back to the UK so won't cross paths this time.

You mentioned camping and hostels. Might I also suggest you try CouchSurfing
A huge network of people who have couches/spare beds/a backyard to pitch a tent on and are happy to host you to help out a fellow traveller and enjoy a cultural exchange. I've hosted about 10 people in the last year and will be enjoying other peoples hospitality (as well as camping and hostels) for my trip. There are plenty of bikers on the website as well (join the group motorcycle riders within the website).

I contacted a biking couchsurfer wrt my first night in Denmark and he said I was welcome to stay and I'd better make it for 2 nights as there was a local festival on and I'd be hungover the next day, haha. Lucky I've got plenty of time.

Let the good times roll, enjoy a safe trip
Tony

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
