driving partners thru Libya - Horizons Unlimited

My wife and I are driving a LandCruiser thru Libya in late November - entering from Tunisia and exiting into Niger - and we're looking for another group with vehicle to team up with and share guide expenses. We're expecting to take about 3 weeks in Libya.

Anyone interested?

We have been thinking about going to Libya at about the same time. We have a Toyota Landcruiser Prado, and would be interested in some desert travel and some coastal travel to see the 'antiquities'. We have been advised about possible problems in that it is compulsory to have a guide and a police escort. I don't know how much of a problem this might be.(or a cost come to that)

Hello,

I will be going through Libya with some friends toward the end of november, beginning of december. Right now it looks like there will be four of us...each on his/her own motorbike. Any chance we could hook on with your group?

sounds like a good group, but unfortunately we'll be entering Libya around November 12th and leaving (into Niger) around November 26th. unless you guys end up changing your dates, we'll be ahead of you by a couple of weeks.
