Dallas - San fransisco end of jan 08
Im a kiwi in the US, i'll be riding a f650gs dakar carrying a dog and tent, some time around the 28th jan - 3rd feb.
im comfortable doing 950 miles a day, but this time i want to take it easy and enjoy some scenery. if that vague agenda suits anyone, then by all means contact me, i'll happily ride with companions. or if anyone has any suggested dos/do nots, then by all means mention them. im thinking of putting my knobbly tires on all the best. _sam

Keep the weather north of you in mind! If you have a half-way decent US road map, look at these routes: Take Interstate 10 (and/or Interstate 8 where it meets up with Interstate 10 in Arizona) to carry you west. Interstate 10 will take you straight into Los Angeles, and Interstate 8 will take you directly into San Diego. Interstate 40, that goes through northern Texas, will see some cold motorcycle temperatures, especially where it heads through the states of New Mexico and Arizona, due to the high elevation found in those parts.
