who is following the dakar rally in peru ?

There are four of us who have met on the way down. We will be in Lima for the start and then travel down to Pisco to catch another leg. A little diversion on our otherwise cultural journey! Want to meet up? Drop us a line.

I will follow the rally from Pisco . Dont know if I will go Argentina yet but I will see the last few stages in Chile. Say hi if you see a white BMW x challenge

Dakar
 

I may get to work with a team competing from the UK (Paul Jay), but if not, I'll straight go to Pisco. I'm in the north now, Huanchaco, and will leave here on 1 or 2 Jan. I'll follow the Dakar route, going across from Calama, which was very high (5,000+ meters) when I did it 2 years ago. Then I hope to buy tires in Tucuman and visit the shop there owned by the Argentina motocross champ.
I'll probably just continue over to Falls do Iguazu again, then go to Rio where I'm trying to ship to South Africa.
You folks seem to be on good dual sport motorbikes, while this time, I'm on a fat, heavy, primarily road, Suzuki Wee Strom. Wouldn't mind sharing a cold one or two if we are in the same place.
