Crossing Libya October/November 2010 - Want to share a guide ? Whos about ??

Hi

Myself and Neil are looking to cross Libya. We plan to take the ferry from Italy to Tunisia then head east accross Libya and into Egypt.

We plan to get to the Tunisia/Libya border in the last 2 weeks in October 2010.

Well, we hear that a guide is needed unless you want to simply take the coast road in under 5 days.

Being 2 guys on bikes, we are trying to cut the price down on getting a guide/tour so looking if there is anyone looking at crossing Libya at the same time and getting a guide, please get in touch

Cheers,

Ted

P.S. I was chatting by email to a few people but I had to reinstall my computer and lost everything

You're going where? When? You sure about that? You might get killed and shot and have AK47s put in your head. You need to think seriously about getting a mortgage.

Try CTN Ferries out of Genoa in Italy (Genes in French).

Compagnie Tunisienne de Navigation

I could not get the October rates which might suggest that the timetable hasn't been published yet but there are contact numberson the site. I do not think you would be successful just turning up 'on spec' but I may be wrong - has anyone on the Hubb been able to turn up for this crossing without pre-booking ?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
