What sort of time in September are you going to be there. I'm off early July for a big run around Eastern Europe that will take in Croatia at some point.

When you say a big run around Eastern Europe, what does that look like?
I'm doing a ride myself when land back in France end of June ( a few weeks) to make a trip start from early July.

Just thinking about which path I take through the French Alps to go further east.

I'll start off from north west France, so can either head due east or take a route down the massif central and then head in via Drôme and then east.
My plan is to do some cols in the Alps again and then though Italy and then into Slovenia and explore parts of Croatia. I may have a liking to then explore up into Austria and east into Slovakia. I'm not yet sure which route to head west by yet. My time frame, July through to sometime mid September. I haven't yet booked my return flight back to Australia, I do reverse bookings.

If either of you are in that loop around that time, I would be happy to meet up. I'm not in any hurry, and want to explore the regions and culture in the areas I ride through.

Also, I'm keen to trek a few mountain walks by foot, especially in Slovenia.

I'm leaving the UK on 9/7/13, the going East ending up in Russia, down into Georgia then Turkey.
I'm going to do the southern coastal route heading back towards Istanbul then into Romania/Bulgaria & the Crimea. Once I've done that I'll head West and pick up the road from Albania northwards. I'm planning on being back in the UK for the 1st October or close to that date.

happy to have some company for any or all of it, I'm planning on using B & B type accommodation. I don't/can't camp......

hey guys coast of croatia is beautiful, and all way up to the end you have tons of b and b and cheap accomodations, and tons of bikers friendly places, even camps , which i do advise to go, have mobile houses for rent with all that you need inside , it all depends do you have some particular things to see or just wonder around?

plitvice lakes , a must see, and go on the old road from split via knin to zagreb , so many perfect twisties no police an traffic drive as much as you want fast
it just depend what you like, peace, food, touristy stuff nature history ?

Sparco, Sounds good, I'm coming to Croatia then.
Plan is;
land Paris June 27 from Australia,
check and ready my moto, which sits in north west France farm shed,
ride to Alps and down through Alps,
ride through Italy, northern Italian Alps,
ride into Slovenia, stay there and go silly in the national parks there,
then ride down to Croatia an see how life is there.

Put the bottle of wine ready for late July sparco
