Hi Wayne,

I'm not on the road yet, still in damp old England:rain: ! The AT and I should be flying out to Canada mid to late May. After making my way across Canada, should enter the States in Montana/Idaho early Sept. I'd like to go more or less straight South to Mexico, taking in Yellowstone, Grand Canyon etc. After the Copper Canyon meeting, I"ll be heading for Central/South America and then on RTW.:mchappy:

Keep in touch Derek

Guatemala?

Hey Derek,
I've done a good bit of travelling around Guatemala (lived there for a couple of months!) some of the more remote border crossings into Honduras from there can be pretty dicey, I know some travellers are real big on the solo thing but I might be into heading further south than mexico with you if its something you might be into. By the way I have travelled the Continental Divide trail from here to Wyoming, I dont know what kind of bike you are riding but there are some incredible trails on the way down. By trails I mean forest service, secondary and generally shit roads that run through and over the Rockies. If you are riding a dual sport bike it would be easy enough and a good way to get some breaks from the highway. Anyway keep me posted....I live in Kalispell about two hours south of the canadian border near glacier national park. What kinda bike are you on anyway?

Have a good one

Hi Wayne,

I've got no problem with us teaming up to travel on from Mexico. Not too sure about off-road, my bike is an Africa Twin. Fully loaded for my trip, and me not being exactly built like Van Damme, it could prove a bit of a handful! But I'm willing to give it a try on easier trails:mchappy:

Cheers Derek.

From tierra del fuego to.....

What are your plans from tierra del fuego....have you made enquiries as to shipping the bike to Wherever from there? Here's the thing....I've been thinking about a circuit of Australia. I was there for a few months last year and loved it......didn,t have a bloody bike with me though! Please though feel free to tell me to bugger off if I'm shoving in on your trip for more than you would like, I just have the time and a bit of cash and got to thinking...Hmmmmmm maybe I could just keep going. You know how that goes. Anyway let me know.

Have a good one
Wayne
