colorado HU meeting and some exploring in U.T

Hey there, I'll be taking my trusty kLR 650 down to the HU meeting in colorado in july from here in frosty montana. Planning a little exploring in moab U.T while i'm at it. Also heading to the copper canyon meet in mexico in the fall. Anyone out there interested in meeting up along the way or who knows some good desert rides in the U.T area would be very welcome. Have a good one.

Colorado 2007 HU Mtg

Wayne....I will be going to Colorado 2007 from here in Central Alberta. I used the Great Divide route in 2005 and plan to retrace many portions of it. It's a great route. Here's a few pics that may get your wrist turnin http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/tstories/golub/ I can also give you a few ideas about high country routes in Colorado, although one of the best person for this is Steve Green (Esteban on ADV - sorry Grant) or maybe even Chris Ratay (www.Ulimatejourney.com) Anyway get in touch..

thanks for the info

Hey Stephen, Thanks for the heads up! I am thinking of doing the trans america trail from Moab back to oregon on my way back from the colorado meet. I'm here in kalispell M.T right below glacier national park so if you want to hook up for some of the ride be sure and let me know.

Thanks
Wayne

Lots of KLR riders in Colorado. Try the regional forums on AdvRider, KLRworld.com, and KLR650.net. There's always some of us out and about during the riding season. I'll see you in Silverton at the HU meet!

Wayne, there are a few Colorado riders talking now about riding the Continental Divide Trail on their way to Sipapu, NM for the AdvRider West Fest gathering. I'm sure many of them will be willing to lead/join a ride on the CDT around Silverton. I hesitate to speak for them, of course.

Pop over to one of the KLR sites and ask.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
