Thanks Simon, I have not yet decided upon the route, though the inclusion of Mali it a tempting idea. I'll send you an email.

Hi!

I'm not sure if this could work, but I'm looking into riding around Morocco in December (no set dates yet) from Switzerland.
This will be my first trip over there so I'm somewhat excited but nervous, so meeting up with anybody else, even for just part of the trip would be great.

If you're interested, please let me know.

Cheers!

C.-

Hi. I am going to Morrocco sometime this late Nov. or early Dec. At present, I plan on being there just two weeks or so. I am a neophyte and have only been on a dirt bike twice.

Simple mechanics are not a problem, but serious bike fixing could be a challenge.

I speak Spanish OK and know some French; I once learnt the Arabic alphabet.

I will buy an old Tenere for the trip; will follow Chris Scott's route guides, and others; probably not use GPS, and therefore not wander far off main routes; camp as much as possible.

Question: what airline/agent flies bikes/bikers from Dakar? Any contacts?

You can ship your bike from Dakar by Air France Cargo.

Hi guys,
TAP AIR PORTUGAL also flyes out of Dakar to Lisbon direct, and as far as I was told this very same week, they will be able to fly the bikes in/out as well on the Sunday flight wich
they operate with a wide-bodied AirBus 310 with larger cargo holds.

nice rides,
Dogo.

I'm close to being ready. Probably will UK on Tues. 06th: Portsmouth - Le Havre. Then south to Bilbao, Salamanca, Sevilla, and Algeciras. I expect it will take 4 days. Then wander south to Ourzazate, where I have a rendezvous around the 17th. I expect to be in Morocco till second week of Jan. May make one-day detours in Spain to Altamira and Portugal to the Coa valley.
