Chicago to South America

Hello, just thought I post this now, Leaving early november, taking 6 months off on my way south if my money and bike can last. Hoping to meet some other riders along the way, on a budget, camping, taking it easy, beach life, and whatever comes my way. Bmw 1150, if anyone is interested in riding together, part way the whole way, whatever, let me know. Have traveling and riding experience, but new to mixing those two together. Good luck to all out there and peace.

I live near Cincinnati. But plan to be leaving for TDF early November from Calexico,California.I recently bought an 06 KLR650 for this trip.I am working on Spanish from books. It's not going very good.Last year I rode Cincinnati-Prudhoe Bay-Key West on a DRZ400 all tent camping.I plan to camp some on this trip. But not where rooms are reasonable.I was planning on about 4 months.Could possibly ride south and ship bike back if time got tight.I mostly go to Advrider. Also Doogle on that site.I would like to at least start the trip with someone.

I am leaving west coast of Canada (Vancouver) mid October to Panama. Would like to spend a bit of time in South US on the way. Never been there. Not even sure what to go see. Love the outdoors. I plan to camp as much as possible and travel fairly slow. I have set aside 6 months for Vancouver - Panama and back. Would be happy to meet anyone on the road.

Riding South too

Hey everyone,

I'm leaving from Calgary, Alberta as near to the beginning of November as possible. I'd love to meet other bikers. I will rippin' through the states and will be heading straight for the copper canyon. Creel would be a great place to meet other bikers.

Also hostel shalom in puerto escondido. Also san cristobal de las casas. There are good hostels there too.

I'll monitor this thread for people's progress.

Happy trails!

TDF bound part II.

Mike
