Capetown -Cairo Starting end of August 2011

Is there somebody doing the same trip at the same time ?
I'm a belgian who drove from Belgium to Cape town on the west side on a BMW G650XChallenge. The 20th of August I'll start in Cape Town for my next part back home on the east side of Afrika.

Im doing the same trip in January, only going the wrong way. Im heading acros europe to Cairo then south to Captown and taking about 7 months to do. I doubt i would be able to travel the same way for too long with you, but if your still going to be on the road, it would be nice to see someone.

Cape Town to Nairobi mid november

Hi Rone,
after travelling from Germany to Cape Town via West Africa I plan to travel northwards along the eastern route.
The plan is to start in Cape Town mid november and arrive in Nairobi 5 weeks later.
The loose schedule for the trip is Makgadikgadi salt pans in Botswana, Chobe National Park. Lower Zambesi National Park
in Zambia where I would like to go on a 3-4 day canoe trip including Mana Pools in Zimbabwe. Then turn east to Malawi
and cross into Tanzania northwards along Lake Tanzania and if time remains into the Ruwenzori mountains.

I am flexible according to the route but not to the time window.
regards
Mike

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
