Baja in March

Planning on traveling down the Baja starting about March 26/27 in Tecate. No specific plans except exploring and camping. Out at Tecate about April 10. Looking for partners.

I should be in the area around that time ... but my schedule is sort of up in the air, can't really nail down dates/locations. I will be trying to get Dental work done in Mexicali or San Felipe, so much depends on how that goes.

Then visiting a friend near San Felipe who has a house near there. After that, moving South at moderate pace. Not sure about off road along the way or of side trips. (I've been to Baja at least 20 times since 1964)

Will end up in La Paz at friends time share for a few days. Then ... If the stars aline, may board Ferry to mainland and more adventure in "real" Mexico.

Nothing cast in stone ... but keep an eye out for a DR650 rat bike ... that'll be me. Will probably over night in Mulege' or San Ignacio. Possibly going out to Scorpion Bay. (on Pacific Coast, due West of Loreto) Hope to run into you ... maybe grab a .

Hi, I'm in LA now and planning to leave for Baja in 4-5 days. Would like to have company for a while. Let me know if any of you would like to ride together. Here's my blog
Moto Trip South - Home. You can contact me there directly as I don't check HU on daily basis.

I ride Baja quite a bit and can ride from San Diego to as far south as you can stand me.

Hit me up when you're en route.

Get a Baja almanac if you can...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
