OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL AUSSIE TRAVELLERS- I am undertaking a self-drive tour (right now its 5 French in their vehicles and the aussies would be in my vehicle) with Tibet-Tours entering via Kathmandu,Nepal on the 10th of August through Tibet, China and Exiting in Laos (total 25 days.) Only groups with nationalities of 5 or more will be granted Tibetan permits... So currently in my tour group we have 3... Aussies already, thus we are required 2 more....

The fee structure for the tour company is a total amount which gets divided accordingly amoungst the whole group.... Costs associated with this, is shared price of tour company which is appoximatley 450 Euro (thats right guided tour, 25 days for only 450 Euros) Vehicle permit costs you would NOT have to worry about (owners of vehicles are taking care of that).... So the costs associated for you would only be around 450 Euros for tour + individual visa costs (very minimal, cant recall exactly) + chip a little for fuel costs + day to day living expenses

This will be a great opportunity to see Tibet and China in a unique way... Many of you will know Tibet has remained an extremely elusive place to westeners throughout its history.

Hi Andrew,

We are in China as we speak traveling to Laos. Planning a return via Tibet in March. Currently using Navo travel. Who do you use?
