Australia - East Coast

Anyone going to be kicking about between Sydney & Cooktown between November & January? I'll be heading up the coast around then and always good to meet up with people.

I will be in Sydney in early November but probably just riding locally.

Take note that you will be heading into the wet season up north.

Hey Korath, where are you from and what are you riding?

Give me a yell with as much notice as you can and I will see what we can do. I am unavailable between Dec 26th to end on Jan (5 week quick lap of Tassie)

Try the HU Communities from Sydney North to meet up with some locals

Glen

Wet season, bah I'm English I can deal with that

I'm hoping to leave Sydney by the 1st November but not sure on my time line at the moment (to be honest I don't think I'll know it until I'm already on the move).

British rain - water that sits in the air and lets you walk into it.

Monsoon .. Water dam that opens up in the sky and dumps on you .

While both are wet .. the force and volume are very different.

Heh indeed, still shouldn't be too much a problem when I'm in no hurry and not doing much distance per day.

@ Hornet: Damn thats couple months after I've set off and will prob be out of cash by then

Ah well. 4 days left of work and I can start getting things sorted, won't be anything keeping me in Sydney then

Hey Frank, you managed to say it before I did.

I've experienced plenty of drizzle in England but nothing like the rain I've seen in the tropics.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
