atlantic route in august/september2003
 

Me and a friend of mine are planning to do atlantic route with 2WD at the end of this august or at the beginning of September. Does anybody has the same thoughts? Since there is no convoy anymore, i heard it is very practical and wise to travel in the company or others, specially if you have 2WD. so, if there is somebody who is also planning this great adventure, please contact us.
I just talked to a girl who did this journey three years ago and she mentioned something about very expensive car insurance which is charged at Mauretania or Senegal border. Is this true? What do that kind of costs amount to, in general?

Hi,

I plan to do an African Trip from Belgium up to Angola beginning of september, so I will take the same route. The other route (Algeria) seems to be no option anymore at the moment so the Atlantic Route seems to be the best option.

Maybe we can arrange something together with some riders?
