Making my way South!!!

My name is Fletch and I am 27, I am doing a two year RTW.

I will be leaving Colorado Saturday the 5th of November, crossing into Baja @ Tecate on the 7th and will be at a wedding near Cabo through the 12th. I will catch the ferry to mainland on the 13th and be on my way taking the Pacific Coast down to Chile and then over to Argentina. Then Shipping over to South Africa sometime in April-May.
I will be taking my time Staging (cooking internships) along the way. I am very flexible with where I am going can be persuaded to leave the coast for some rad adventures. Up for anything will be camping and staying at a few hostels as well.
Would be awesome to hook up with other riders who are easy going and are down for some good times and awesome riding.

Hit me up
Would also be down for a group get together as well.
Fletch

Hey Fletch,

Have you thought about going down the east side of Baja then crossing over to the highway?

It includes a rough as hell dirt road, but you get to see more of Baja and potentially cross at a very quiet crossing.

Can be windy in the north, but it only gets better from there. Perfect pavement till it runs out though (and it does abruptly!). Try hitting that at night doing around 100. I think some of us were airborn...

Either way, if you aren't worried about some gravel, sand, and big rocks on the road you can stop at some great Baja locations like Alfonsinia's (sp), Coco's corner, etc. Might even shave some distance.

Hi all,

Me and my f650 are flying to Bogota on 1st November from London. Probably there a little earlier than all of you, but will be hanging around Columbia for 3 weeks or so while I try to learn some Spanish.

If any of you will be there around the same time, would be great to meet up for some and

Cheers,
Joe

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
