Buddy for February/March 2011

Hi,
just started with motorcycling but I am now infected and have two month off in February and March and would like to go to Marocco, Tunesia or other places-just started with the planning. I will skip my job and then start a new one, so I have only time then. Planning to go to France with Bike and train and then take the ferry eg to Tunesia.
Anyone similar plans or also wants to go?
I am 32, speak German, English, Dutch and Hungarian. Would be great to hear from anyone.

Your thread

Hi, Greets from Milan, Italy

With the hope you have found a travel buddy, if not, this is my proposal 24 February Seville(motorcycle fiesta 3 days) then Morocco till 10th March(10-12 days) , if you want to go to Tunisia too, it is possible only from reaching Sete in France than Tunisia, as the border between Morocco and and Algeria is closed

Ciao :-)

Hi - I live in the south of France, in Nice, and have been looking to go across to Tunisia this month or next, but am flexible with my plans as I am only working part time at the moment. I'd be interested to hear what you come up with, as I would prefer to travel with a small group than solo.

A bientot

Hi Coguaro

It appears that I can't reply to your PM as I don't have enough posts, but yes, I'm entirely flexible about destinations. I was supposed to have been going down to Morocco in March but that has been cancelled for various reasons, so would be delighted to head that way -

Hi all,

Since it now looks like Tunisia is "off the map" for a while, perhaps your Morocco option will come back to life again.

I'll be in Morocco on my bike (GS1150) for approx 3 weeks in March, likely arriving there around the 7th. No fixed itinerary yet. If anyone else will be there around that period and wants to meet up, that would be fantastic. Once my planning has become a bit more definite, I'll post again on this thread.

Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy

Coguraro and I have been in touch and it's not inconceivable that this will go ahead, so stay in touch via this thread. We were looking more at the second half of March, though.

Cheers

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
