Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events such as this one (18 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or
to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and

I'll be riding to Dakar and back starting from Amsterdam in November 2012. Is there anybody out there who's in for this crazy (what?) ride?
My visa for Mauritania will be valid from the 10th of november 2012 till the 10th of Januari 2013 and apart from that I don't have a tight time-schedule. So far I can't work out how much deposit I'll have to leave with the ADAC in germany for my carnet the passage for Senegal, but there'll be an answer for that.
I have a lot of sand-riding-experience, also with the Africa Twin and know what butt-pain and 'lifting the freakin' heavy bike' means. For the rest of it, I'm an easy going lad, 22 years of age, I love riding motor-cycles and looking forward towards a great adventure! That's all there is to it, cheers,
