All You need is a helmet...

(....and a few other camping bits)

Ok this is a strange one... it's an invitation! I have 2 bikes I own to be collected in Greece (from a couple of friends ending their European trip). The bikes are already geared up with luggage systems and should have some tools and spares left on them. My snag is I would rather ride the bikes back than ship them home (to the UK), and sadly I can only ride one bike at a time.

If anyone is looking for a November adventure riding a DRZ back from Greece. Please contact me!!

OK, so who actually owns the bikes? - this makes a difference for insurance...... whose paying for the insurance, fuel, accommodation for this adventure?

Please be up front about whether you have bought a couple of bikes and need help bringing them back to the UK - a business proposition, or whether a couple of HuBBers need a hand, in which case why are they not posting (and offering to pay the expenses of the trip)?

Hi Buddy,

I am the owner, although for paperwork reasons we can figure something out, assuming I don't get screwed over!! The story goes a little like this, I temporarily sold/lent my bikes to a couple of aussie friends to do a tour round Europe before they head back home to oz. They're ending their trip in Greece/Turkey to keep the bikes still in Europe. The plan is to meet them near an airport accessible by easyjet/ryanair and do the hand-over then after hanging out a while. My friend who was going to join me in returning the bikes back has bailed on me!

As for the bikes: they are 2 black DRZ SMK6/7 (and left the UK still very low mileage <5k).

The other rider will get have to provide money for their accommodation/food/fuel/insurance/travel expenses... however, I don't really want anything in return, just companionship and a like minded fellow biker to help me out bringing my bikes back.

Who this is For
...those of you out there who are itching for a mini trip this year to Greece/Dalmatian Coast/or just away but cannot afford the time to go both ways... here's a perfect opportunity!!

The route is somewhat flexible from Croatia back... however, I've given myself ~2 weeks to get back.

Hi Neil,

When are you planning to leave? Are you planning cheap B&B or camping? What is your estimate (approx) of total costs? What would your average mileage be per day?

Hi there,

From experience mileage would be about 250-300 miles/day, allowing time see things and stop. Not stopping at B&B's unless the persistent weather inhibits our desire to camp out in the wild.

Budget including flights, fuel, food, accommodation I hope not to exceed £1000!
