South America Sept 2014

Looking for travel companion(s) for fall of 2014. Traveled Denver to Central America solo. Now considering storing bike in Costa Rica or Panama for a few months while I return to Denver. Would like to continue trip South through South America Septemberish. Traveling with another(s) could be more fun.

Very experienced world traveler. Novice Adventure biker (but have learned quickly). Traveling on a V Strom 650.

Are you planning to ride from Denver to Costa Rica? What do you plan to do with your bike once you get to South America? Are you thinking of storing it, coming home, and rejoining it the following season?

I'm in Nicaragua right now. Have enjoyed Central America trip so much that I want to extend into South America, but summer commitments in Denver, lack of South America trip planning and seasonality require me to continue at a later date. Rather than ride the bike back North, I'm thinking of leaving it somewhere down here and picking up the trip in the fall.

Lots of unknowns yet. Don't know if either Costa Rica or Panama will grant me a 6 month TIP. I'm going to check out Costa Rica in a few days (flights from San Jose to Denver are cheaper than from Panama).

Hey, I'm leaving at the same time from Seattle and heading down the west coast of Mexico via Baja. Where do you plan to cross and do you have a route?

Cheers, Jaime

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
